Do you recognize a face, place, or moment from Long Beach LGBTQ history?

Join us for a lively evening of stories, memories, archival photographs, and fabulous drag performances
celebrating Long Beach’s vibrant LGBTQ community. Through historic images, we’ll uncover the people,
places, events, and milestones that shaped our local history. Taking place on Veterans Day, the evening will
also include a special moment of honor and reflection dedicated to the vital contributions, courage, and
stories of Long Beach’s military veterans.

Your Memories Are History.

Help identify photographs, share stories, reconnect with old friends, and ensure our community’s history is preserved
for future generations.

Hosted by Jewels Long Beach

Part talk show, part community history project, and part drag spectacular, Flashback Fabulous invites longtime
community members, friends, and allies to help bring Long Beach’s LGBTQ past to life. Whether you have stories to
share or simply want to learn more about the history that shaped our community, your voice matters.

Presented by the Historical Society of Long Beach

“Flashback Fabulous” is the first event of the Historical Society of Long Beach’s “Uplifting Historical Collections of Long
Beach’s LGBTQ Community” and was supported in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by
the California State Library. Additional funding from the Port of Long Beach. HSLB engages community members to gather
knowledge that will be preserved and expand public access to LGBTQ archival collections and community history.
