Long Beach’s soundtrack just dropped for the year—and trust us, you’re going to want to hit play. The Long Beach Symphony just announced its 2025–26 season, and it’s the perfect mix of iconic classical works, dance-worthy Pops nights, and unexpected moments that’ll leave you genuinely moved. With tickets starting at just $39 (and five-concert subscriptions at $109), this is a season that invites everyone in.
Classical Nights, Reimagined
Set inside the elegant Terrace Theater, the Classical Series is everything you think of when you hear “symphony”—but with a fresh energy. You can sip a drink, chat by a fire pit, and catch a Pre-Concert Talk with Music Director Eckart Preu before the show. Whether you’re a longtime listener or totally new to orchestral music, the vibe is welcoming and immersive.

Highlights this year include sweeping romance from Tchaikovsky, a rare solo appearance by guitar legend Pepe Romero, and a massive season finale with Mozart and Mahler that’s sure to bring the house down.
- Passion & Tragedy (Sept 27): Haitian street music to rippling romance—Sydney Guillaume, Fei‑Fei on piano, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, West Side Story
- Beethoven & Beyond (Nov 1): Twin piano duo meets pastoral symphony in a powerful mid-century-meets-modern vibe.
- Tchaikovsky & Strauss (Jan 31): Violin concerto and orchestral storytelling that soar.
- Pepe Romero Returns (Feb 28): A solo guitar legend, Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, and more soundscapes
- Magnificent Mozart & Mahler (June 6): From Eine kleine Nachtmusik to Mahler’s 5th—pure emotional power
Pops Concerts: Where the Party’s At
If symphony in a concert hall isn’t your scene, the Pops Series is basically a music festival with strings. These shows take place in the Long Beach Arena—people dance, picnic, and bring their own drinks. It’s rowdy in the best way.

You’ll hear live symphonic renditions of Journey, Whitney, Prince, MJ, classic love songs, and even the entire Laurel Canyon era. And yes, there’s a full-blown Earth, Wind & Fire Dance Party on the calendar.
- Faithfully: The Music of Journey (Oct 18)
- Iconic Voices of Change: Whitney, Prince, MJ & more (Nov 15)
- Endless Love – Valentine’s Concert (Feb 14)
- Sounds of Laurel Canyon (Mar 21)
- Earth, Wind & Fire Dance Party (May 9)
Doors open at 6 PM, the music kicks off at 7:30 PM—and the good vibes roll all night.
Music That Belongs to Everyone
This season isn’t just about performance—it’s about connection. Symphony President Kelly Ruggirello calls it a space for “joy, discovery, and connection,” and honestly, that says it all. Whether you’re attending with family, friends, or just flying solo, the Long Beach Symphony is offering something special for every kind of listener.
