In a time when the political climate is putting real pressure on Latino communities, the International Tamales Festival becomes more than a party; it’s resistencia wrapped in masa—an act of celebration, belonging, and cultural pride. We’re bringing Long Beach together to honor the dishes and stories that raised us: regional tamales from across Mexico and Latin America, live music and dance, an artisan mercado, a Kids Zone with free arts and crafts, and a Homemade Tamales Contest that keeps family recipes alive con cariño.
