Spend your Sundays with the Children’s Maritime Institute on Pine Avenue Pier in Long Beach as we explore, discover, learn and set sail on Tall Ship American Pride with Weekend Wonders and a Shoreline Sail, sponsored by the Port of Long Beach.
Come aboard the Official Tall Ship of the City of Long Beach every Sunday* between 12:00 and 2:30 pm for free deck tours and interactive lessons on a variety of topics. Lessons begin at 1:00 pm, rotating through four categories each week.
Weekend Wonders is designed for adults and kids of all ages, and there is no pre-registration or sign-up required. We invite you to ask questions, form and test hypotheses, and participate in a variety of activities that will connect you to the maritime world and marine environment through this immersive experience aboard our historic tall ship!
You can also purchase tickets to join us for a Shoreline Sail every Sunday* at 3:30 pm (boarding begins at 3:00 pm), where you can take part in helping the crew set the sails! You can also bring a picnic aboard for the two-hour, round-trip sail around the Long Beach harbor.
