What do you get when you combine a Pilates workout, wagging tails, and a good cause? Puppy Pilates—coming to Long Beach on Saturday, August 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Barre, the city’s newest boutique fitness studio.
In partnership with local nonprofit rescue Sparky and The Gang, The Barre is hosting a playful afternoon where fitness meets philanthropy. Participants can expect a lighthearted Pilates class suitable for all levels—interrupted often by adoptable puppies looking for cuddles. After the workout, there will be plenty of time to snuggle, snap photos, and even inquire about giving one of these pups a forever home.
All proceeds will go directly to Fix Parvo ICU, Long Beach’s only parvo virus treatment center, which saves hundreds of dogs every year from the deadly canine disease. Every stretch, plank, and puppy kiss will help fund lifesaving medical care for at-risk pups.
“We love creating space for wellness and community—and what better way to combine both than with puppies and Pilates?” said Amanda Parsons DeRosier, founder of The Barre. “Whether you’re here for the stretch or the snuggles, this event is all about lifting spirits, finding homes, and helping save puppy lives from parvo in the process.”
