After holding separate people’s choice polls for many years, the Playalarga and Long Beach Post are coming together in 2025 for a joint celebration of the food, drinks, music, places and people that make Long Beach a special place. 

The inaugural People’s Choice Awards 2025 will include a live awards ceremony, certificates for winners and a printed summer guide with winners across dozens of categories! 

Nominations across 90 categories will open April 1, 2025, and close on Tuesday, April 15th. Final Voting will open on Sunday, April 20th, and end on Monday, May 5th. 

A live event will be held on June 8, and the printed guide will be published and distributed on June 9 to thousands of residents and visitors. More details on both will follow. 

Categories range from coffee shops to dance venues to food, art, retail, wellness and more. This is your chance to uplift the businesses we all depend on — and that have put Long Beach on the map!
